‘Hands’ by He Lihuai 2017
The Human Hand
Finger paintings on stone cave walls are a testimony to humanity's creativity.
Painted stories on canvases, and poems carved in stone.
Machines replicate words that lack emotion and intention for invention.
Steal art from individuals just trying to make a living.
Artificially generate people without a womb who forever lack a soul because they were never born.
But machine struggles at the command to recreate the human hand.
Poetry, painting, sculpting, makeup, sewing, it all comes from us.
In our fingertips lie the very birth of creation.
Being born one does not make us human, it is what we create that defines us.
Humanity began with our hands, and it will end because of them.
A rant about shitty AI
No one wants to see a shitty AI-generated photo of you as a doll.
Pick up your purse and pay a talented hardworking artist and maybe that money will make sure they can pay their bills or eat this week.
Or pick up a pen and draw it yourself, create without fear of perfection.
I don't care about your talent level because 'bad' art is better than using a machine that steals other people's work and kills the planet.
Stop using ChatGPT to write an essay or an email or a cover letter because you're too fucking stupid to do anything that involves using your brain for even a second. Every writer job on Indeed right now needs writers for AI training and writers like me struggle enough as it is without having to compete against a machine.
Our reliance on technology has made us stupider and lazier than ever, but the people who rely on AI for every aspect of their pathetic life don't give a shit about humanity or the planet and they don't care if it all fucking dies.
